Street Shows

Bui Bolg has a series of roaming shows involving their signature giant puppets which tell a variety of sagas.

The Joust

A Mysterious Queen finds that life is a drag until she is wooed by two unsuspecting knights in shining armour. They battle it out to see who will take her dainty hand and who will have a narrow escape. Two knights on horseback, one minstrel and the mysterious Queen make up this entourage. The players canter along the streets occasionally stopping to perform their 20 minute tale.

The Street- Sweepers

A Street Sweeper and his pal while away the hours dreaming up hair brained schemes to get rich quick. Two animated puppets; one brought to life by a heedful of gizmos and electronics, the other by a puppeteer secreted away inside a wheelie bin. The players saunter along making frequent stops to chat with passers by and try out their culinary creations in a series of set pieces lasting from 10 - 15 minutes.

The Circus Trio

Roll Up, Roll Up to the not so greatest show on earth!

What do an overbearing ring master, his unloved son and two clown puppets have in common? Nothing, but they are trying to over come their differences to bring you a circus show of sorts. You won’t be amazed, you won’t be thrilled but you will split your sides laughing. Music, magic, animated puppets and slapstick combine to create this twenty minute performance.
