A Spectacle of Defiance and Hope

ISACS (Irish Street Arts Circus and Spectacle)
A new network for our sector has been formed: the Irish street Arts Circus and spectacle Network aka ISACS! It is a collaborative organisation comprising professionals from the Street Arts, Circus & Spectacle art forms in Ireland. So check out the programme of training being offered this November at the Tralee Circus Festival!! Book your place…these sessions are amazing!
Bollywood, Baby!
Just back from Beijing and Bui Bolg was commissioned to produce a large scale pageant to feature in the new Bollywood movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (‘Once there was a tiger’) filmed in Dublin.
So we set out to the exotic location of Dublin, bringing with us our jumping prawns, waving lampposts and spectacular salmon float and hot-air balloon, all moving to the intoxicating rhythm of Indian music. Bui Bolg created a colourful and energetic atmosphere and the main actors Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were entranced dancing along with our creations.
After a long day the whole crew were thrilled, to be a part of this phenomenal Indian blockbuster and is looking forward to its release.
Beijing welcomes Bui Bolg!!
Bui Bolg is causing a storm at the International Tourism and Culture Festival of Beijing. The Festival takes place from 1st-6th of October. Bui Bolg is thrilled be part of this event and is excited to present their new show in the Chaoyang-Park. So send all your friends and relatives to see the show!!
But if you can’t go to Beijing this week, don’t worry. They will unpack their Bar again at the International Puppet Festival on 23rd October at Temple Bar, Dublin and at the Mermaid Art Centre Bray.

‘Out There Festival’ in Great Yarmouth with Bui Bolg!
We are delighted to say we will be presenting our ‘Chancy Brothers’ this weekend at the exciting ‘Out There Festival’ in Great Yarmouth. Our great new acts the hilarious fiddling foxes and leaping salmon will be all over the park.

Last week we celebrated the farewell of our dear Abina and beloved by all Eddie! Thank you for the wonderful time with you and thank you to all guests who have said goodbye. It was a brilliant night!
